Lamination provides protection from dust, dirt and moisture and allows the print to be cleaned with relatively little risk of damage to the image. It also provides protection from the UV light and atmospheric gases that are the primary cause of print fading. Laminating the front of a mounted print puts a protective film over the surface of an already mounted print. Encapsulation of the print by 5 mil glossy laminate provides an inexpensive means of protection. If the print is large enough it can be rolled for storage or shipping. The 10 mil clear textured laminate on the front provides the greatest protection for rollable graphics and photographs. This is especially suitable for rollable trade show graphics allowing for the constant handling that these graphics endure.
